Pet Bereavement and Loss Support Group

The loss of a beloved pet can be difficult, and the Pet Bereavement and Loss Support Group is a safe and supportive place to come to process your loss. This group is held on the last Sunday of every month, and while there is no fee a donation is appreciated. Currently donations are collected to be sent to Team Cat Rescue. (If you have a pet-related charity and wish to be considered for future donations please email me.)

Cost: Free but a donation is appreciated. Currently donations are made towards: Team Cat Rescue.

Motherhood Unfiltered: Peer Support and Education for New Moms

In a world of perfect Instagram photos, come join us for this 8-week group focused on finding connection and understanding in unfiltered motherhood. Topics covered will include mental health, baby sleep and developmental milestones, birth stories, plus opportunities to learn from experts like postpartum chiropractors, doulas and massage therapists.

Cost: $350 - May be covered by your insurance

Requirements: This round of the group is focused on mothers with children 6 months of age and under

Get a Better Sleep: Mindfulness-Based Therapy for Insomnia

Get a Better Sleep: Mindfulness-Based Therapy for Insomnia combines mindfulness meditation with principles and strategies taken from cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I). Through guided meditations, group discussions, and daily activities performed at home, participants cultivate greater self-awareness and change their unhealthy thoughts and behaviors surrounding sleep to reduce stress, sleeplessness, and other insomnia symptoms. This group is 8 weeks in length, meeting weekly for two hours.

Cost: $500 - May be covered by your insurance

Youth STRESS Group

The Youth STRESS Group is an on-going peer support and psychoeducational group for youth aged 14-18 across Ontario. It is offered online via group video chat on the first Tuesday of every month from 7pm-8pm EST (6pm-7pm CST). The focus of this group is on discussing school-related situations that cause us stress and reflecting on how we can deal with that stress in a healthy way. Each session includes a technique that participants can use in their lives to help them deal with stress. As this is an open group, participants can choose to attend as frequently or infrequently as they would find helpful.
